- Arm: MULTIPLE MYELOMA at diagnosis GROUPMultiple myeloma (before starting chemotherapy, radiation or stem cell transplant
- Arm: Amyloid at diagnosis GROUPAL amyloidosis (before starting chemotherapy or stem cell transplant)
- Arm: Poems at diagnosis GROUPPOEMS at diagnosis (before starting chemotherapy, radiation, or stem cell transplant
- Arm: Poems in Remission GROUPPOEMS in remission (no chemotherapy, radiation, or stem cell transplant for 2 years
- Arm: MGUS GROUPMGUS -not treated newly diagnosed
- Arm: Health controls in same household GROUPhousehold member to be a healthy control (no chemotherapy or gastrointestinal illness to participate)
