Job Description

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -
• Master's Degree with at least 3 years' experience in the field of counseling, social work or psychology
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES REQUIRED
One or more of the following required:
• Licensed Master Social Worker credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Licensed Counselor credentialed from the Michigan Board of Counseling obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Licensed Psychologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association accepted.
• Experience working with Children & Adolescents preferred

Responsibilities
- •Provides behavioral health counseling services at Roseville Middle School
- •The program is year-round - position continues through summer vacation
- •Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals
- •Administers individual and group therapy
- •Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations
- •Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions
- •Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community
- •Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge
