In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be to assist clients in achieving their goals through effective behavior management strategies while ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve quality of life. Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently. Provide support in teaching social skills, communication, and self-regulation techniques. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each client's needs. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and special education practices. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities. Proficiency in data collection methods and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and documentation practices related to patient care. Ability to assist with care plans that address the unique needs of individuals receiving behavioral health services. Excellent communication skills for teaching concepts effectively to clients and collaborating with team members. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals in their growth and development.
