• Utilizing a significant amount of independent judgment tests patient samples through various chemical, microscopic, serological, and bacteriologic techniques
• Assists management with the maintenance of appropriate policies, procedures and equipment as requested
• Conducts orientation and training of new personnel and monitors performance of appropriate personnel in the section of primary responsibility as requested
• Operates and maintains automated equipment and maintains an adequate inventory of departmental supplies
• Performs quality control, quality assurance, and performance improvement indicators routinely in the department
• Maintains work areas in an appropriate state of orderliness
Job Requirements
Required
• Recent clinical laboratory experience required
• Clinical Lab Scientist: CA
Preferred
• Bachelors in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences
• Experience in an acute care hospital

It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento.
