What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):
• Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or another related mental health field
• MHS II - Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
• MHS III - Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• Must possess a valid CA driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver eligibility policy.
• First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross or obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
How you will make a difference (Job Overview):
This position assesses clients at the start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. The MHS II is a clinical treatment team member who is also responsible for providing direct care to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the clients through direct and indirect physical and verbal interaction. MHS II will also be engaged in admission and diagnostic formulation, screening incoming referrals, and work with referring parties (i.e. Social Workers, Nurses, hospital liaisons and etc.) to ensure appropriate client care and treatment planning. Duties are performed under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, but some tasks are accomplished independently.
Division/Program Overview:
• 16-bed facilities
• Designed for adults with mental health challenges or a recent crisis who need intensive treatment.
• 24/7 programs as an alternative to urgent care or hospitalization.
• Individuals can live on-site in a homelike setting for a short term while they receive counseling and learn basic living and interpersonal skills.
• Able to receive physical and psychological evaluation, mental health, and case management services, in addition to assistance locating permanent housing.

In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 70,304.00 - 98,178.07. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
