Job Description

Key Responsibilities Patient Evaluation & Treatment Assess and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy as needed Clinical Specialties Manage patients with dysphagia, neurological conditions, and respiratory compromise Support stroke and ICU patient populations Perform bedside swallow evaluations and therapeutic interventions Advanced Procedures (Preferred) Conduct Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies Perform Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) (preferred but not required) Collaboration Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Provide education to patients, families, and staff Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Follow hospital policies and regulatory guidelines Required Qualifications Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Minimum 2+ years of experience within the specialty Preferred Qualifications Experience in acute care hospital settings Familiarity with MBS and FEES procedures
