Position Summary
Denali Health Atlanta is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Nurse to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis for night-shift coverage. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional who wants flexible scheduling while contributing to cutting-edge clinical research. You will provide critical nursing support for our Phase I-IV clinical trials, ensuring patient safety, protocol compliance, and data integrity during overnight study visits and monitoring.
Schedule: Night-shift, PRN (as-needed)
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct clinical assessments and vital signs monitoring for research participants during night-shift hours
• Administer investigational products and medications according to study protocols
• Perform blood draws, IV placements, ECGs, and other clinical procedures as required by study protocols
• Monitor participants for adverse events and respond appropriately to emergent situations
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in source documents and electronic data capture systems
• Maintain compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and ICH guidelines
• Communicate effectively with study coordinators, principal investigators, and medical monitors
• Ensure participant safety and comfort throughout overnight visits
• Maintain study supplies, equipment, and medication accountability
• Assist with screening, enrollment, and follow-up visits as needed
Required Qualifications
• Active Georgia RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Excellent clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize/respond to adverse events
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently during night-shift hours
• Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible PRN schedule
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous clinical research or clinical trial experience
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems
• Phlebotomy and IV insertion expertise
• Experience in neurology, psychiatry, wound care, or other specialty therapeutic areas
• Knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 11, 50, 56, 312), and ICH guidelines
• Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
