Job Description
Company Description Helm AI builds flight simulator–style platforms for strategic decision making, enabling organizations to test scenarios before acting in the real world. The company develops agentic simulations that model population-scale human behavior as chain reactions across complex systems. These simulations show how customer decisions, corporate responses, or regulatory changes propagate through networks and trigger cascading reactions.
By providing this insight, Helm AI helps leaders anticipate outcomes, reduce risk, and make more informed, data-driven decisions.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site User Experience Researcher role based in Bellevue, WA.
The User Experience
Researcher will plan and conduct end-to-end user research, including interviews, usability tests, surveys, and contextual inquiries, to understand the needs of stakeholders using Helm AI’s simulation tools. In this role, you will synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear insights, journey maps, and recommendations that inform product strategy and UX design. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to prioritize user problems, validate concepts, and improve product usability and adoption.
Daily responsibilities also include creating research plans, recruiting participants, documenting findings, and sharing results through concise reports and presentations to cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
Strong user research foundation, including User Research and UX Research methods, from discovery through evaluative studies.
Human-centered design expertise, including Human Computer Interaction and Design Thinking, to translate insights into actionable product improvements.
Robust Analytical Skills to interpret qualitative and quantitative data, identify patterns, and communicate clear, evidence-based insights.
Experience planning and running usability testing, interviews, and surveys, preferably in complex or data-heavy product environments.
Ability to collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams, influence decisions, and advocate for user needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation and presentation of research findings.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, Human Factors, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with simulation, analytics, or B2B software products is a plus.
By providing this insight, Helm AI helps leaders anticipate outcomes, reduce risk, and make more informed, data-driven decisions.
