Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract position dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students as an Autism Specialist. This full-time, onsite opportunitylocated near Sacramento, CAfocuses on supporting children and adolescents across the autism spectrum, while providing the support and guidance needed to address sensory, executive functioning, and socialization challenges. Travel candidates are welcome, and youll work within a collaborative environment that values expertise and compassion.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in a related field is required
• LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) preferred
• At least 3 years of experience working with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including individuals without intellectual disabilities
• Demonstrated background managing mental health, sensory, executive functioning, and socialization issues associated with ASD
Role Responsibilities:
• Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to each students unique needs
• Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to develop and implement effective support plans
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
• Provide training and consultative support for school staff in best practices for supporting students with ASD
• Ensure all documentation and communication adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines
