Qualifications

  • •Must meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas
  • •Upon Hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
  • •Upon Hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • •Upon Hire: Chemotherapy Certification from the Oncology Nursing Society
  • •3 or more years of nursing experience
  • •2 or more years of oncology nursing experience
  • •3 more items(s)

Responsibilities

  • •Practices within the scope of regulations outlined in the Texas Nurse Practice Act
  • •Responsible for evaluating eligibility of oncology patients to participate in clinical trials and to coordinate the care of those patients enrolled based on the IRB, FDA and sponsor guidelines
  • •Serves as a patient advocate by upholding the core values of Covenant Health System
  • •Moderate supervision required
  • •This is an onsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location
