Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist, where your passion for helping others and dedication to improving lives will make a meaningful difference. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities
• Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines, fostering independence.
• Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support clients during teaching sessions by utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and teach new skills.
• Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation, records, and progress notes in accordance with medical terminology standards and confidentiality requirements.
• Create a safe, supportive environment that encourages clients’ engagement while managing behavioral challenges through effective behavior management strategies.
Skills
• Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis methodologies.
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies that promote independence.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and documentation for progress tracking and treatment adjustments.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of medical records and client information.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
