and ready to make a difference in the lives of students, we invite you to apply. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with educators to support students in Grades K-12 by providing personalized guidance and assistance both in the classroom and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with classroom teachers to create a safe, engaging, and high-achieving learning environment for all students.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs in both school and community settings.
• Monitor and support students during lessons, applying strategies to enhance their learning experience and success.
• Track student progress, communicate with educators about successes and challenges, and adjust methods as needed to foster growth.
• Manage student behavior consistently, reinforcing school policies and collaborating with teachers on disciplinary measures.
• Assist students facing academic challenges by developing essential skills across various domains such as academic, social, and life skills.
• Document student performance and behaviors clearly and accurately, sharing observations with relevant staff to inform their support.
• Participate in meetings and discussions to foster partnerships among staff, students, and families aimed at positive outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information and records at all times.
• Engage in professional development opportunities and respond positively to feedback for continuous growth.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support student success and the overall effectiveness of the educational community.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent, with successful passage of basic skills tests.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Possess or be able to obtain a state driver’s license.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining certification in approved crisis management training.
• Prior experience in instruction, guidance, or support for children, particularly in special education or behavioral health settings is preferred.
• Proficient in supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and make independent decisions in emergencies.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with technology, including instructional technologies and Microsoft Office Suite.
