The instructor is responsible for assisting the Teacher in managing the classroom environment. They utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidenced-based teaching methods to deliver direct instruction to students according to their Individual Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). Instructors collaborate with the Teacher, Curriculum Specialist, School Director, BCBA, and other school personnel to ensure student success. They actively participate in training (in house and community) and apply what is learned into the classroom.
Position Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Hours: Mondays – 8:00-3:00; Tuesday-Friday, 8:00am-2:45pm
• Summer hours are not guaranteed and may vary
• May include occasional evenings and weekends as needed for school and marketing events
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
• Assists the Teacher with managing the classroom for all students on case load
• Implement direct instruction and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) directed by the Teacher and BCBA
• Assist with collecting data on student progress daily
• Always maintain student supervision and safety
• Maintain positive interactions with students, parents, and co-workers
• Collaborate with Teacher, Curriculum Specialists, and BCBA regarding difficult students
• Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings
Requirements:
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or RBT Certification a plus
• Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children

• Flexible and open to innovative ideas and changes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
