Job Description
Care Support Professionals who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities (Autism Spectrum Disorder) to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. Full-time positions are available in our Day Programs in:
• Rowley, Mass
• Beverly, Mass
• Tewksbury, Mass
• Hyannis (Cape Cod), Mass
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
Pay: $19.00 - $19.00/hr
All locations and roles are FULLY SUPERVISED & TRAINING IS PROVIDED
Your Daily Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting adults with developmental disabilities with daily living activities such as: life skills, vocational soft skills, art, games, fitness, healthy eating, cooking, cleaning, fire safety, etc.
• Support these individuals in making independent decisions and participating in valued community roles.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes participating and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities at community events.
• Facilitating recreational, educational, and social activities to engage residents and enhance their quality of life.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Accompanying the individuals on outdoor trips into the community, parks, day trips, etc.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Conducting regular safety checks and addressing any potential hazards to ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Help to implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Empathy for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
All Full-Time employees of The NEEDS Center have the opportunity to obtain a FREE Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from William James College
